Been a while since I’ve had a personal blog that’s not Tumblr. I don’t like Tumblr for blogging because personal posts tend to get lost amongst the reblogs of cat pics, social justice posts and Captain America’s beard… probably. I haven’t been on there for about 6 months, but I doubt that the residents of Tumblr have missed that.

So, a blog. Mainly because tweet threads on Twitter gets mildly confusing, and if I’m going to pre-write a tweet thread to ensure it makes sense, I might as well just save the extra effort and make things into a blog post and just link to that. Not that tweet threads won’t still happen, because sometimes you just get caught up in the moment with this things.

What will I use it for? Whatever takes my fancy, really. Musings, rants, craft projects, films and TV shows have an impact on me, what games I’m playing. Probably photography, possibly food when I try a new successful recipe. Definitely gender stuff, because that’s stuff I have thinky thoughts on.

Will it be a regular thing? Who knows. I spent several years posting to Livejournal on a daily basis, sometimes several times a day. So it might be frequent, it might be once in a while. The hardest post is always the first, once that’s done it gets easier to post more.
